PORTOBELLO AND JOPPA
RESIDENTS & BUSINESSES AGAINST CPZ
Take Action Now
Join Our Campaign
We are strongly opposed to the introduction of a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in our area and your involvement can make a real difference. Together, we can raise our voices and preserve the unique character of Portobello and Joppa.
The Council’s Traffic Regulation Orders Sub-committee will meet on Tuesday, 16 December at 10:00am in the Dean of Guild Court Room, Edinburgh City Chambers, to make a decision on the proposed CPZ for Portobello and Joppa.
Members of the public are welcome to attend. Please come along if you can. Click here for more information.
However, it is also vital that we make our objections clear ahead of this meeting.
To make your objection heard, you can:
-
Sign our petition to show your support.
-

Our Voices Must be Heard
We need you to make a difference. Councillors and other local representatives must hear directly from the people most affected by the proposed CPZ.
Please take a few minutes to write to your local representatives and tell them why you object to this scheme.
Every message counts - whether you use the example letter below or write in your own words. By speaking up together, we can show the Council the strength of opposition in Portobello and Joppa and make it clear that this community will not accept a scheme that harms residents, families, and local businesses.
